This is how we expect the new dinettes to look. They will have storage for bedding under the seats.

We think we could solve the problem of the shower being too small by making the wall to the toilet hinge back across the gap. This would give us a width of just under 4 feet, ample for getting dressed etc.

When the wall is not across the boat then to all intents and purposes things will be just the same as they are now.

There are other "odd bits" that will need to be done to facilitate these works. 2 of the radiators will have to be moved slightly. The water pump, accumulator tank and filter are at the moment located under the Single berth with the tank. We are hoping these can be accommodated by moving the unit that is at the moment situated between the toilet and the seating/double berth to the front and fitting them in it. We will replace the carpets and fit vinyl floor covering right across the boat from the toilet to the shower, and put the same flooring in the galley.

There are 2 big questions to answer!
1. Can we afford it??
2. Can we get someone local to do the work??

After ringing round I found Stanilands marina in Thorne who feel they can do the work although they are not sure when (It probably won't be soon!)

They are going to contact me next week to arrange to go and see the boat and hopefully give me a price.  If I can afford it and it is all possible I will book in for the work to be done.

I also contacted Blue Water Marina about the alterations and duly went off and took their boat fitter John to look at the boat. They too are going to give me a price.
